Events in the Parish

The Immaculate Conception is a vibrant parish, serving people in many different ways. Liturgy is central, but the Gospel is also concerned with people, with justice and with community. We aim to reflect the Gospel in all that we do, so our parish life is varied and vibrant, liturgical, social, ecumenical and focussed on justice and peace.

Find an event that suits you – and if you don't find one, perhaps you could organise for something that is lacking here to take place – please speak to Fr Jim with ideas and suggestions.

Prayer Week Christian Unity: Called to one hope

22 January @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Week of prayer for Christian Unity “Go and Do”. This week (18th–25th January) brings together all the Christian churches of Maryhill. We meet every day to reflect and pray together – and share some food! Check our web and bulletin for dates and venues.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18 – 25 January 2026)
Churches have been working together in Maryhill to arrange 5 daily sessions. We will use the materials which have been prepared internationally, by churches in Armenia. We have learned that the Armenian Church has suffered a lot, and that the Armenian people spread across the world to escape dangers. We think the materials will be very topical, to the current talk about migration.
Please join us for the four short lunchtime sessions of scripture, prayer and reflection.
And come early for soup, tea and coffee before hand.
On the Friday evening, we plan a short session of scripture, prayer and reflection followed by cheese and wine social.
